At the Country Club of Lincoln, our staff fields many inquiries about the Club, the golf course, membership, and facilities. Here is a list of some of the most frequently asked questions. Feel free to contact the club if you need additional information.
Q. Can I golf or dine at the Country Club of Lincoln if I am not a member?
A. The Country Club of Lincoln is a private, member-owned country club and is not open to the public. You must be a member. The Club does have a guest policy for members.
Q. What is the membership number at the Country Club of Lincoln?
A. Membership is currently at 640 families.
Q. How do I become a member?
A. There are different levels of membership. Membership is by invitation only and invitees must have at least one current Club member as a sponsor and four letters of recommendation from members.
Q. What are the privileges of membership in the Country Club of Lincoln?
A. Depending upon membership level, your Country Club of Lincoln membership can include everything from full golfing privileges, tennis, swimming, casual and fine dining, banquet and catering services, and social and recreational events for all ages throughout the year.
Q. What activities are available for children or youth?
A. The Country Club of Lincoln is a family-oriented country club. Skill development and activities are available in golf, tennis and swimming. Various social events geared toward children and youth are planned throughout the year. Children are also welcome in the Club’s dining facilities.
Q. What about the golf course?
A. Consistently considered one of the top golf courses in the state, the Country Club of Lincoln boasts a parkland-design course with undulating greens. It provides a challenge to golfers of all levels. The golf course also includes practice facilities.
Q. How old is the Country Club of Lincoln?
A. The Country Club of Lincoln was founded in 1903. It is one of the few 100-year-old clubs in the country. While the Club itself has moved and evolved over the past century, today’s course was originally designed by William Tucker and Gregor MacMillan.

Q. What is the Club's Dress Code on the golf course and golf practice facility?
A. All golfers must adhere to the following dress code. All males must wear shirts with sleeves and collars. Males or females may wear shorts if they are no shorter than four (4) inches above the knee or measure 18 inches or longer in length. Shoes with pronounced heels, large ribbed, or large rubber or cleated soles will be prohibited on the golf course and practice areas at all times. Jeans are not acceptable attire for any male or female during the golf season, April 1 through November. Unacceptable dress includes tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, cutoff shorts, jogger shorts, gym shorts and swim trunks.
Q. What is the Club's Dress Code in the Clubhouse?
A. Proper sports attire is permitted in all areas of the clubhouse, except the Main Dining Room. The accepted attire for gentlemen is golf and tennis style shirts with collars, golf and tennis shorts or slacks or business-casual wear. The accepted attire for ladies is tennis skirts, blouses, slacks, shorts (of appropriate length) and long-sleeve tennis and golf sweatshirts. Prohibited dress for adults in the clubhouse includes swimming attire, torn or ripped clothing, cutoff pants of any kind, hats, caps or visors (exception for men in the event of discomfort caused by a medical condition), tank tops, sleeveless shirts (men only) and sweat suits. Prohibited dress for children includes swimming attire, torn, worn or ripped clothing or any clothing that has holes, shorts or slacks hanging below the waistline, worn blue jeans or blue jean shorts, cutoff pants of any kind, hats, caps or visors, tank tops, inappropriate tee shirts, sleeveless shirts (males only) and sweat suits.
Shoes must be worn in all areas of the clubhouse, except the locker rooms and pool areas. Golf shoes with non-metallic spikes are permitted in the clubhouse, except in the Main Dining Room.
MAIN DINING ROOM
The Main Dining Roon should be regarded as an upscale dining venue, however, less formal attire will be allowed with jackets optional, but appreciated. No jeans or shorts will be permitted.
GRILLE ROOM AND BAR
Casual dress. Nice, clean jeans are acceptable.
We ask that all gentlemen please remove their hats.
